Biography

Sharon Richardson competed at the 1960 Olympics, placing ninth on the vault, while still a student at Illinois University High School. She also competed at the 1959 Pan American Games, winning a gold medal in the team all-around. Richardson competed for Pond’s Palaestrum. She later became a gymnastics coach at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was featured on the cover of Life magazine, along with Doris Fuchs.
