Biography

Gymnast Bert Cronin was a team-mate of the multiple British champion Arthur Whitford at Swansea YMCA. Cronin never won a national title, but was Welsh champion in 1926 and 1927, and in the latter year captained Swansea to in the final of the national team championship, but lost to Birmingham. Like Whitford, Cronin, a former secretary of the South Wales Gymnastics Association, was coached by Walter Standish.
