Biography

Guido Romano competed in gymnastics at both the 1908 and 1912 Olympics, winning a gold medal with the Italian team in 1912. In World War I Romano served with the Italian Infantry but was killed in action in the Battle of Asiago on 18 June 1916. In Milano, the public swimming pool in Via Ampere was named in his honor.
