Biography

Ragnvald Berg competed in four events at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He competed in the individual all-around (28th); the individual all-around, apparatus work (38th); the individual all-around, field sports (=22nd); and the team all-around, apparatus work and field sports (6th). Berg represented the Brooklyn Norwegier Turnverein.

Berg was born in Oslo, Norway and came to the US as a child, becoming a US citizen when his father was naturalized in 1895. He was originally a silversmith but switched careers and worked as an engineer for the Brewster Aeronautical Corporation until after the breakout of World War Two.
