Biography

Tom Auth rowed at Columbia University, twice winning the Eisenhower Watch as Columbia’s top scholar-athlete. He rowed at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics, in the lightweight double sculls in 1996 and in the lightweight four in 2000. Auth won a gold medal in the four at the 1999 Pan American Games. He competed at the World Championships in 1991, 1993-95, and 1999, winning a bronze medal in the lightweight eight in 1991. Auth later became a top amateur cyclist in New York City, winning the championship of the Century Road Club of America.
