Biography

Slobodan Jovanović was one of six members from the Crvena zvezda (Red Star) rowing club of Beograd on the eights crew that represented Yugoslavia at the 1948 London Olympics. There, the Yugoslavians were eventually eliminated in the round one repêchage after finishing second in their preliminary heat behind the Americans, who would go on to win the gold medal.
