Biography

Ukrainian-born German freestyle swimmer Konstantin Dubrovin won the bronze medal with the 4x200 metres freestyle relay squad at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, although he only swam in the heats. The same also happened at the 1997 World Short-Course Championships when the relay team won the gold medal. At the 1996 European Short-Course Championships, Dubrovin won the 200 metres freestyle bronze medal.

Dubrovin was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. He later became a youth swimming coach near München.
