Biography

Hartmut Wedekind was a West German breaststroke swimmer participating in the 1988 Seoul Olympics, and finishing a disappointing 31st in the 200 metres. In both 1986 and 1987, he won the national title in this event. Wedekind later worked with the municipality of his hometown Duisburg as a technical accident advisor, and factory maintenance manager at the Duisburg tram society.
