Clemente Mejía had the following podium finishes at major championships: 3rd in the 1951 Pan American Games 3×100 metre medley (with Alberto Isaac and the non-Olympian Luis Spamer), 3rd in the 1955 Pan American Games 4×100 metre medley (with Walter Ocampo, Eulalio Ríos, and Otilio Olguín).
