Biography

Laura Walker attended the University of Florida from 1988-94 where she received seven All-American honors, and helped them win the 1989 NCAA 4x200 yard freestyle relay championship. Walker competed for the US primarily as a relay swimmer. She won bronze at the 1988 Olympics in the 4x100 free relay, and a silver medal at the 1986 World Championships in the same event. Walker competed at the Pan Pacific meet in 1985 and 1987, winning gold in 1985 in the 4x200 free relay, and gold in the 4x100 in 1987. She graduated from Florida in 1994 with a degree in health science education. Walker later competed in masters swimming.
