Biography

Heike Jensen, sister of Grit Jensen-Naumann, was on the East German volleyball team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics that won the fifth-place match against Brazil 3-1. She also won the European Championships in 1987 and was silver medallist in 1985. She participated in the 1986 World Championships.

In total, Jensen won several international caps with East Germany. She played for SC Dynamo Berlin (1978-90), and was East German Champion from 1985-90, and East German Cup winner 1983-87, and 1989. In 1984 and 1985 she won the European Cup Winners’ Cup.

Jensen later married non-Olympian rowing World Champion Bernd Schlufter. By profession, she became an insurance agent.
