Biography

Dave Saunders played volleyball at UCLA, where he was a three-time All-American, and helped the Bruins win the NCAA title in 1979, 1981, and 1982. Saunders was on the US national team from 1982-88, winning gold medals at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics. He also played at the 1983 and 1987 Pan American Games, winning gold in 1987, won a silver medal at the 1986 Goodwill Games, and played at the 1983 Universiade.

After his volleyball career ended Saunders worked in marketing and as a sales manager for several radio stations in the San Diego area. He later became sales director of Pacific Southwest at LivingSocial, especially serving the San Diego, Honolulu, and Las Vegas regions.
