Biography
Osvaldo Codaro played water polo at the 1948, 1952, and 1960 Olympic Games. He also competed at five Pan American Games, leading Argentina to gold medals in 1951 and 1955, a silver in 1959, and a bronze in 1963. Codaro played with Club Counicaciones from 1952-62 and was with Athletic Boca from 1962-71. He played for Argentine national champions 22 times. After competing at the 1971 Pan Ams, he retired from competition but served as head coach of the Argentine Men’s National Team from 1975-81. Codaro was President of the Argentine Water Polo Federation from 1985-88. He was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2017.
