Biography

German wrestler Georg “Jonny” Anderson of Hamburg finished sixth at the 1910 World Greco-Roman Championship in featherweight. One year later he came second at the 1911 Unofficial World Championships in Dresden. He was also 1921 European Champion in the same class. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics Andersen was eliminated in the second round against Hungarian József Pongrácz.
