Biography

Michele Toma was an Italian bantamweight Greco-Roman wrestler who competed during the 1960s. In 1963 Toma won silver at the Mediterranean Games after losing to Ünver Beşergil (TUR) in the final. This performance earned him a place on the Olympic team for the 1964 Games in Tokyo, where he won his opening bout, before suffering two defeats to be eliminated. At the end of the decade Toma won bronze at the 1969 European Wrestling Championships in Modena.
