Biography

Müzahir Sille was a three-time Olympic Greco-Roman featherweight wrestler, placing fourth in 1956, winning the gold medal in 1960, and participating in 1964 without reaching the third round. Sille was also a silver medalist at the 1955 and 1958 World Championships, and won a bronze at the 1959 Balkan Championships. In 1961 he moved to German Bundesliga club KSV Witten 07. With Witten he won several German Team Championships in 1970, 1974, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1983 and 1986. After his wrestling career ended, Sille returned to İstanbul to start several non-profit organizations, mainly targeted towards helping the homeless
