Bill Fritz had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1938 British Empire Games 4×440 yards Relay (with Johnny Loaring, Lee Orr, and the non-Olympian Bill Dale), 2nd in the 1934 British Empire Games 4×440 yards Relay (with Ray Lewis and the non-Olympians Art Scott and John Addison), 2nd in the 1938 British Empire Games 440 yards. In the 1934 British Empire Games Fritz finished fourth 440 yards.

Personal Best: 400 - 47.32 (1936).
