Fred Macbeth was a Canadian track and field athlete who specialised as a sprinter. Macbeth ran in the 400 metres at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where he reached the quarter-finals. Two years later he competed at the British Empire Games where he was eliminated in the heats of the 220 yards and the 440 yards hurdles.
