In 1923 Anthony Vince ran the 100 yards in ten seconds at a meet in Halifax, before running the 100 metres in 11 seconds the following year in Toronto. These results earned Vince a trip to Europe to represent Canada at the 1924 Paris Olympics. At the Games he reached the quarter-finals of the 100 metres and the semi-finals of the 4 × 100 metres relay.
