Biography

Aurelia Pentón had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1971 Pan American Games 4×400 metres Relay (with Beatriz Castillo, Marcela Chibás, and Carmen Trustée), 2nd in the 1979 Pan American Games 4×400 metres Relay (with Ana Fidelia Quirot and the non-Olympians Ana L. Guibert and Nery McKeen), 3rd in the 1975 Pan American Games 4×400 metres Relay (with Asunción Acosta and the non-Olympians Eia Cabreja and Rosa López), 3rd in the 1979 Pan American Games 800 metres. Pentón also finished seventh in the 800 metres at the 1967 Pan American Games and fourth in the 400 metres at the 1971 as well as at the 1979 Pan American Games.

Personal Best: 400 – 50.56 (1978).
