Biography

Marthe Dupont-Trasenster married Émile Dupont in October 1911 in Ougréé, Belgium. She competed at the 1920 and 1924 Olympics in tennis, her best finish coming in the 1920 women’s doubles, when she made the quarter-finals alongside Anne Chaudoir. Dupont-Trasenster was Belgian women’s singles champion in 1921 and 1930; won the Belgian doubles title in 1908, 1910, 1913, 1921, 1930, and 1933; and took the mixed doubles title in 1920, 1926, and 1931. Her older sister, Nelly, also played tennis at the national level in Belgium.
