Biography

Barbara Krug, a 400 m runner, won a silver medal at the 1980 Moskva Olympics with the 4x400 m relay. She also won the 1977 World Cup and European Cup, and the 1978 European Championship in the 4x400. She won the East German 400 indoor title in 1979 and a relay title in 1977. Krug’s career was overshadowed by Marita Koch.

Personal Best: 400 – 51.03 (1980).
