Biography

Jochen Reske, a 400 metre runner, earned the silver medal with the 4x400 relay at the 1960 Roma Olympics, running the opening leg. He was also eliminated in the second round of the 400. In 1962 he was European Champion in the 4x400 relay. Reske also took a bronze medal in the 400 at the 1962 Europeans. In 1962 he won his only West German title in the 400. In 1960 he was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf. His wife was high and long jumper but non-Olympian Brigitte Fischer, while his brother Ulrich Reske was a sprinter.

Personal Best: 400 – 46.1 (1962).
