Biography

Henrik Kalocsai was a horizontal jumper who set five Hungarian records in the long jump and 10 in the triple jump. He also won 19 national titles: long jump in 1960-63, 1965-67, 1969-71, and 1973; and the triple jump in 1962-63, 1965, 1967-68, 1970-71, and 1973. Kalocsai competed in 45 internationals for Hungary. In addition to his two Olympic appearances, he competed at the European Championships in 1962 (sixth in long jump), 1966 (bronze in triple jump), 1969 (10th in triple jump), and 1971 (did not make the final long and triple jumps). Kalocsai won the triple jump at the 1965 Universiade, and won a silver in the triple jump at the 1967 European Indoors.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.5 (1967); 200 – 21.7 (1967); LJ – 7.86 (1970); TJ – 16.73 (1967).
