Biography

Jaroslav Tetiva was on the Czechoslovak national basketball team at the 1952 and 1960 Olympics, although he did not play in 1952. Tetiva was capped 176 times with the national team, including competing at six European Championships, winning three medals, with silvers in 1955 and 1959, and a bronze in 1957.

Domestically Tetiva played with Zbrojovka Brno, Slovan Orbis Prague, and ÚDA Prague and won five league titles. He also played the 1960 European Champions Cup with Slovan Orbis, making it to the semi-finals. In 2006, he was inducted into the CBF Hall of Fame. His brother Jiří Tetiva was also a top Czechoslovak basketballer.
