Josef Vosolsobě competed for Czechoslovakia in both track and field athletics and figure skating. Vosolsobě represented his nation at three editions of the European skating championships, in addition to becoming the national pairs champion in 1935. On the track he was a two-time national champion in the long jump, and also set a national record of 7.19 metres in 1935. The following year Vosolsobě competed in the long jump at the 1936 Berlin Olympics where he finished 13th with a best effort of 7.18 metres.
