Biography

Winfred Rolker twice placed at the AAU in walk events – 1916 with fourth in the 5K and 1920 with second in the 3K. He competed for the NYAC. Rolker was a native of Brooklyn who lived there in 1920 when he competed at the Olympics. For many years, this athlete’s name was seen as William Roelker, but records of the ship manifest traveling to Antwerpen in 1920 verify his name as Winfred Rolker.
