Nancy Fiddler attended Bates College where she played lacrosse and field hockey. In both 1989 and 1991, Fiddler won the triple at the US Championships, winning the 5K, 15K, and 30K titles. During her ski career she worked summers at Tioga Pass Resort near Yosemite, and was a ski instructor in the winters at Mammoth Mountain in California.
