Active during the 1930s John Currie was a member of the Ottawa Ski Club in Canada. Whilst a student at Ottawa University Currie was selected as part of the Canadian skiing team for the 1932 Lake Placid Olympics. He finished 40th in the 18 kilometres cross-country skiing race.
