Biography

Nordic combined competitor Thomas Dufter appeared twice at the Winter Olympics, in 1992 at Albertville and 1994 at Lillehammer. He finished fifth and tenth with the teams respectively. Individually, he was 12th in 1992 and 23rd in 1994. In 1993, he was on the bronze medal winning team at the World Championships. Domestically, he won national titles in 1989 and 1995.

Dufter completed his training as an environmental technician. Since then, he headed the Piding river management office, where he was responsible for water and avalanche protection.
