Once part of Romania’s so-called “Golden Generation”, Iulian Florescu played ice hockey for multiple teams in București throughout the 1960s and early 1970s. Florescu had his greatest success with Dinamo București, where he won three national titles. He also had a prolific international career, competing at eight editions of the World Championships and two Olympic Games. At the 1968 Grenoble Games he played in five matches where he scored four goals. After his playing career Florescu served as the Vice-President of the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation.
