Aleksey Guryshev played his entire career from 1947-61 with one club, Krylya Sovetov Moskva winning one Soviet Championship with them in 1957. Guryshev was the best goal scorer at the Soviet Championships in 1949 (29 goals), 1953 (44 goals, with Viktor Shuvalov), 1955 (41 goals), 1957 (32 goals) and 1958 (40 goals). Internationally, besides his Olympic gold medal, Guryshev won World Championships in 1954 and 1956 and was a runner-up in 1955 and 1957-59, and also won European Championships in 1954-56, and 1958-59. After his playing career, Aleksey Guryshev worked as an ice hockey referee until his retirement in 1975.
