Biography

Ski jumper Heiko Hunger participated in the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. He finished fifth with the large hill team, and seventh in the normal hill event. Hunger started his career in Nordic combined and moved to ski jumping after German re-unification.

Hunger’s lone individual victory came in a 1985 Nordic combined World Cup event at Oberwiesenthal. Domestically, he won the East German nationals three times, in 1985 and 1987-88, in Nordic combined.
