Brazilian tennis player Suzana Petersen was active during the late 1960s and early 1970s. During her career Petersen competed at several Grand Slams and participated at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics when tennis was played as a demonstration sport. At the Olympics she played in several singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events, finishing third in one of the women’s doubles competitions with the Ecuadorian player María Eugenia Guzmán. In 1969 Petersen reached the singles second round at Wimbledon where she lost to Helen Amos of Australia. One year earlier she had played in the third round of the mixed doubles at Wimbledon with Thomaz Koch, but their section of the draw had no first round ties, and they won their second round match via a walkover.
