Biography

Sergey Kalesnik had the following podium finishes at the Flatwater World Championships: 1st 1990 K1 500 m, 1st 1990 K2 500 m (with Anatoly Tishchenko), 1st 1994 K1 200 m, 2nd 1989 K2 500 m (with Anatoly Tishchenko), 2nd 1990 K4 1000 m (with Sergey Kirsanov, Aleksandr Motuzenko, and Anatoly Tishchenko), 2nd 1995 K1 200 m. Kalesnik represented the Soviet Union in 1989 and 1990 and Belarus in 1994 and 1995.
