Biography

Austrian luger Robert Manzenreiter, brother of Sonja Manzenreiter, participated in the 1988 Calgary and 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. He partnered Georg Fluckinger in the men’s doubles in 1988 and placed fifth. In 1992, Manzenreiter competed in the men’s singles and finished sixth. In 1991 and 1993, he was a member of the silver medal winning Austrian team at the World Championships.

After his active career, Manzenreiter initially worked as a training co-ordinator for the Austrian team from 2007 onwards and later moved to the Igls artificial ice rink as track manager in 2012.
