Weng Tzu-Ting represented Chinese Taipei as a professional tennis player from 1992 to 2002. Weng achieved a career-best singles ranking of #232 in the world in October 1996, and a doubles ranking of #235 in the world in November 1995. Her best performances came at the Asian Games where she won a team bronze in 1994 in Hiroshima, followed by a team gold four years later in Bangkok. In 2000 she paired with Janet Lee in the doubles at the Sydney Olympics, but lost to the Ukrainian duo of Olena Tatarkova and Anna Zaporozhanova. One year later Weng won bronze in the doubles with Janet Lee at the Summer Universiade in Beijing.
