Biography

Josef Trousilek was a defenseman who played almost his entire Czechoslovakian ice hockey career in Prague, starting in 1936 with SK Slavia Praha, moving to ČKD Praha in 1937, and LTC Praha in 1939. He stayed with them through the 1950-51 season, and then played a final year with Tatra Smichov before retiring in 1952. Trousilek won a silver medal at the 1948 Winter Olympics. He competed at the World Championships in 1939, 1947, and 1949, winning two gold medals as he helped Czechoslovakia to its first two titles in 1947 and 1949.
