Biography

Oliver Seack partnered his twin brother Matthias Seack at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics in the flatwater canoe events in the K-2 over 500 and 1,000 metres, placing seventh and fifth. Oliver won four medals at the Flatwater World Championships with a silver in the K-1 500 in 1985 and three bronzes in the K-2 500 with his brother in 1982, and in the K-4 1,000 in 1981 and 1982.

From 1983-85 the brothers earned national titles in the K-2 500 and also from 1984-86 in the K-2 1,000. From 1983-88 they also won 10K titles. Oliver won the singles title as well in the K-1 500 in 1981, 1983-85 and 1987, over 1,000 metres in 1987, and in 1981 over 10,000 metres.
