Equestrian Eventing at the 1920 Summer Olympics

The equestrian competitions were held in and around the Beerschot Stadium. Both an individual and team competition in eventing were held, although the events were conducted concurrently. The three-day event was contested as two days of cross-country and one day of jumping. No dressage was held in the three-day in 1920. The first day was a 50 kilometre ride, of which 5 km were cross-country with 20 obstacles. The second day was a 20 km cross-country ride, to be covered in one hours’ time, followed by a 4,000 metre steeplechase. The final day was devoted to jumping. Helmer, Count Mörner won the individual eventing and led Sweden to the team gold medal.
