Biography

Marina Janicke, an East German diver, claimed two bronze medals at the 1972 München Olympics in the springboard and platform events. She also won two silver medals at the 1970 Europeans, and earned a bronze in the springboard at the 1973 Worlds. From 1971-73 she was East German champion on both springboard and platform. Janicke later graduated in biological studies, and was then employed by Robert-Koch-Institute in Berlin as a molecular biologist.
