Biography

Freestyler Wolfgang Kremer was on the mixed German team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. He was eliminated in the heats of the 400 freestyle. Four years later, then representing West Germany, he also went out in the rounds of both the 100 and 200 freestyles, but placed sixth with all three relays (4x100 / 4x200 freestyle, 4x100 medley). Nationally Kremer won the West German title in the 100 freestyle from 1966-70, and in the 1968 200 freestyle. Kremer later was employed by the city council of Essen and worked in the sports department.
