Biography

Freestyle skier Sonja Reichart Competed in the 1988 Olympic Freestyle Skiing aerials demonstration event for West Germany and placed second. The next year she won the silver medal at the 1989 Championships at Oberjoch in her home country.

At the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics, Reichart was eliminated in the qualification round. However, at the Freestyle Ski World Cup in 1987 and 1990 she won gold medals, and in 1988 and 1989 added silvers. In 1990 she won the women’s aerials in the Subaru World Cup Freestyle competition in Lake Placid.
