Biography

German swimmer Jirka Letzin placed ninth at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the 400 IM event and failed to reach the final as the best non-qualifier. At the 1995 Short-Course World Championships, he won a silver medal with the 4x200 free relay and a bronze medal in the 100 metres backstroke. At Europeans he added two gold and four silver medals.

Letzin later turned to coaching and was Regional Coach at Leipzig from 2004-11. Thereafter he worked as a freelance swimming coach and trainer for life kinetics with a company called “The Braincoaches”.
