At Sydney in 2000, as Megan Quann, she won gold in her primary event, the 100 metre breaststroke, and also helped the USA medley relay team win gold. After marriage to Nathan Jendrick, they would later name their daughter Sydney. She would add an Olympic silver medal in the medley relay at 2008 Beijing.

Megan Quann started college at Pacific Lutheran University but later transferred to Arizona State University. As Megan Jendrick she attempted to make the 2012 US Olympic Team and competed at the 2013 US Nationals, winning a bronze in the 50 metre breaststroke, but she retired later that year.
