Biography

German flatwater canoeist Anett Schuck, niece of Alexander Schuck, won two gold medals at the 1996 Atlanta and the 2000 Sydney Olympics with the kayak fours. She was also very successful at World Championships, winning 11 gold, nine silver, and two bronze medals. At European Championships she added one gold and two silvers. Schuck was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. She later became a sports teacher and worked as a canoeing coach at Leipzig.
