Biography

Track and field athlete Jan Plichta represented Slavia Praha where he specialised as a racewalker. Plichta was scheduled to participate in the 10 kilometres race walk at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics for Czechoslovakia but did not start. Four years later he did compete in the event at the 1924 Paris Olympics but was disqualified in his heat.
