Biography

Giorgio Nuti was just a boy when he started equestrian riding under the guidance of his father Romano, then maturing alongside Vittorio Orlandi and Graziano Mancinelli. He arrived on the international scene also young, and competed in three Olympic Games (1976, 1984, 1988). His brightest sporting moments were victories at two Nations Cups – at Aachen in 1976 (alongside Raimondo D’Inzeo, Mancinelli and Orlandi) and in Roma in 1985 (with Emilio Puricelli, Bruno Scolari and Mancinelli).

Nuti can boast of a record that no Italian rider has experienced: having been the Italian junior champion of eventing, dressage, and show jumping, and he was later a multiple Italian show jumping champion. In the late 2010’s, Nuti became involved in national youth show jumping. A national technician of the sport, he was responsible for all the top athletes and also managed the Under-25 teams transitioning young athletes to the senior team.
