Biography

In 1968 South Korean cyclist Gwon Jung-Hyeon was selected to compete on both the road and track at the Mexico City Olympics. Gwon’s Games were pretty forgettable, as he failed to finish in both the road race and the individual pursuit, and was eliminated in the round one repêchage in the sprint. He had better success, however, at the Asian Games, winning six medals, starting with two bronze on the track at the 1966 edition in Bangkok. Four years later Gwon won more medals on the track with two silver and two bronze at the 1970 Games.
