Biography

Heinz Lechner was an Austrian sabre fencer who participated in the 1948 London Olympics where he was eliminated in the second round of the team competition. In 1952 at Helsinki, he finished eighth individually and reached the semi-finals with the team, placing fifth eventual. At the 1951 World Championships, Lechner placed sixth and in 1953 finished eighth.
